So, it’s felt like a busy week this week. I was up in Charlotte for most of the week.
Andrew and I flew from Charlotte up to Asheville. We were getting some job interviews that day, and then we flew back. Andrew dropped me off in Charlotte, and then I stayed there Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
It’s always hard for me working out there. Somehow, it messes up my whole routine, living in a hotel for a couple of days. I usually end up going to Planet Fitness and working out there, or doing the hotel gym. Planet Fitness is, I would say, a much nicer gym than the hotel gym, but sometimes it’s crowded and it can be difficult to find the machine you want, especially when you’re doing anything with the squat rack or a bench machine.
But I was up there Monday and Tuesday and got to see the whole team, which is always good. Wednesday, I flew back down to Peachtree City.
Holly and I saw this ad for Dragon Con bourbon, which we looked at and thought was interesting.
We’d actually gotten some a couple of years ago and just stuck it on a shelf, so we didn’t get any of this new one, but it is interesting. Now they’re making labels for special occasions for bottles, basically. It reminds me of the one we got when we went to the Kentucky Derby.
Holly and her niece had a Play-Doh day. They were making letters or flowers out of Play-Doh, and then you spray them and they harden up. We don’t keep a lot of flowers in the house because some of the blooms cause allergy issues for Holly, so I said this was an interesting sort of thing to try, and they had a great time doing it.
Then we looked up, and there were, I think, five deer just standing on this person’s driveway, which was kind of neat.
We’ve been having some AC unit issues at our house. The machine was making a bunch of noise, so I went out there early in the morning, because I was feeding Luna, and found that one of the pipes had come disconnected.
It was one of the drain pipes. I guess when it was installed, they didn’t use enough glue on it, or the house just shifted and it popped loose. So I had to get them to come back out and re-glue that area. That seemed to fix the issue, and we were happy that it was something so minor.
Luna has been spending time with me in the morning when I do my morning stuff before work. She’s been hanging out with me, just chilling in my office, which is kind of interesting.
So we’ll see how that goes and how that works.
And then we just had a pretty chill weekend. We had dinner with my brother and his wife on Friday and then went to the night market in Peachtree City, which was fun. And then Saturday, we just chilled at the house and watched some UFC.
And that was the week!
