Happy Birthday Shirley!
A big highlight this week was celebrating Holly’s mom’s 73rd birthday. We wanted to make it special, so we took her out to the mall to do some shopping and then to the Chinese Lantern Festival in Atlanta. It was beautiful, and she loved the experience! Spending that time together was meaningful, especially with the holiday season approaching.
We also spent a few days up in Charlotte, which was great. Holly and I visited the office, caught up with everyone there, and tried to make the most of our time since we were only there for a short stay. We even hit some of our favorite spots for food—pizza included! Between the travel, birthday celebrations, and gearing up for Thanksgiving, it feels like October and early November flew by.
Keeping up with my diet and workout routine has been tough with all the extra activities. My elbow’s still recovering from tendinitis, but I’ve found a brace that helps with weightlifting. There are a few exercises I can’t do yet, but I’m slowly easing back in after that lingering bout of bronchitis. My ankle from an old break is feeling better too, so I’ve even started doing squats again, which is great progress.
November planning is now in full swing. We’re putting together Thanksgiving with family and a Friendsgiving with friends and the office crew. It seems like everyone’s schedules get more complex each year, but we’ve managed to coordinate dates, so it’s all coming together. I'm also trying to stay on track with fitness goals since we have more holiday events on the horizon. Next week will be another busy one, with more travel lined up, so I’m getting everything organized.
I’m looking forward to the holiday movies coming out, too. The last one we saw was Wolverine and Deadpool, so I’m ready for something festive. My wife and I noticed the Hallmark Christmas movies starting up, and she’s excited, especially with all our fall decorations out around the house. It’s a cozy time of year, and we’re looking forward to relaxing a bit and enjoying the season.
Holidays are always tons of fun but also bring a lot of hustle. So, while I’m looking forward to family time, I’m making sure we stay focused on serving our clients at work. And remember, if you're in pain, call Shane!
