Sometimes, the weeks that feel average on the surface are the ones where meaningful progress happens. This past week wasn’t packed with dramatic events, but it was a solid and fulfilling one—full of opportunities to grow, connect, and enjoy the little things that make life special.
One of the highlights of my week was meeting with our attorneys and managers. These meetings are such an important part of keeping the firm on track and ensuring we’re always working toward growth—not just for the business, but for everyone on the team. It’s inspiring to hear their ideas, discuss challenges, and celebrate the wins we’ve achieved together. These conversations remind me why I love what we do. We’re not just running a business; we’re creating a space where people can grow, contribute, and make a difference for our clients. And, of course, it’s all about asking that crucial question: “How can we be better?”
While the firm keeps me busy, I’ve been making a concerted effort to focus on my health. This year, I committed to a new workout routine and a diet plan. I’ll be honest—it’s not always easy to stick to, especially when life gets hectic. But it’s been rewarding to see the small changes adding up over time. It’s not about perfection; it’s about consistency.Of course, balance is key, and that means making room for the things that matter most. Holly and I had a date night this week, and it was a great reminder that staying connected with the people you love is just as important as hitting the gym or staying on track with a diet. We had a fantastic evening—good food, better company, and a chance to unwind and enjoy each other’s company. Life is too short not to cherish moments like that.
Another simple but meaningful part of my routine has been getting outside with our dog, Teddy. He’s getting up there in age now, so our walks look a little different these days. He can’t go as far as he used to, but that doesn’t stop us from heading out together every day. These walks are one of my favorite parts of the day—they’re peaceful, grounding, and a great way to clear my head. Teddy still loves sniffing around and taking in the sights, but when he gets tired, I’ve got a dog stroller ready for him. It might look a little funny, but it’s worth it to make sure he’s comfortable and still gets to enjoy our outings. Watching him light up when we hit the fresh air is the highlight of my morning, and it’s a reminder to slow down and appreciate the simple things.
The rest of the week was steady and productive. It’s these quieter weeks, the ones where you stay consistent and focus on what’s important, that really set the stage for the bigger wins down the road.
